ScalePro Solutions is seeking an Estimator or Senior Estimator to join its preconstruction team in Broward County, FL. This role covers ground-up multifamily projects and requires hands-on quantity takeoffs across multiple trades.

Ideal candidates will have experience with OST and CostOS, strong documentation practices, and the ability to work collaboratively with preconstruction leadership on bids and value engineering.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates and quantity takeoffs for ground-up multifamily construction projects.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents to develop accurate cost estimates.
• Estimate across multiple construction trades, including concrete, structural, architectural, MEP, and finishes.
• Utilize OST and other estimating software to perform accurate quantity takeoffs.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• Identify scope gaps, potential cost issues, and value engineering opportunities.
• Collaborate with the Director of Preconstruction and estimating team throughout the bidding process.
• Assist with bid leveling, estimate revisions, and final proposal preparation.
• Maintain accurate estimating documentation and historical cost information.

About the Opportunity

We are partnering with an established South Florida general contractor seeking an Estimator or Senior Estimator to join its preconstruction team in Broward County.

This opportunity is open to a range of experience levels. Whether you're an Estimator looking to build your career or an experienced Senior Estimator who enjoys being hands‑on with the numbers, we're interested in speaking with you.

The company has an established preconstruction department and is looking for someone who understands multifamily construction, can perform accurate quantity takeoffs, and has the ability to estimate across multiple construction trades.

You'll work alongside experienced preconstruction professionals on multifamily projects throughout South Florida.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates and quantity takeoffs for ground‑up multifamily construction projects.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents to develop accurate cost estimates.
• Estimate across multiple construction trades, including concrete, structural, architectural, MEP, and finishes.
• Utilize On‑Screen Takeoff (OST) and other estimating software to perform accurate quantity takeoffs.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• Identify scope gaps, potential cost issues, and value engineering opportunities.

• Ability to estimate or develop knowledge across multiple construction trades rather than specializing exclusively in one or two.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and estimating principles.
• Proficiency with construction estimating software.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities.

Preferred:

• Experience with On‑Screen Takeoff (OST).
• Familiarity with CostOS or similar estimating platforms.
• Experience estimating ground‑up mid‑rise or high‑rise multifamily projects.
• Previous experience working for a commercial general contractor.

Who We're Looking For

We're open to two types of candidates:

Estimator: Someone with a solid foundation in multifamily estimating, strong takeoff skills, and the desire to continue developing under experienced preconstruction leadership.

Senior Estimator: An experienced professional who can independently prepare detailed estimates, evaluate subcontractor pricing, and contribute immediately to the bidding process.

You do not need to be a department head or have experience managing an entire estimating department. The company already has established preconstruction leadership in place.

The priority is finding someone who knows multifamily construction, understands takeoffs, and can contribute to accurate, competitive estimates.
