Tiello has partnered with a premier General Contractor in the greater Fort Lauderdale, FL area on their search for an experienced and local Senior Estimator OR Estimator who has experience estimating on large scale ($75M+) construction multifamily, healthcare and commercial construction projects in Florida.

Key Responsibilities:

Review project drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop accurate cost estimates.
Perform detailed quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and equipment.
Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitive pricing.
Prepare comprehensive bid proposals, budgets, and cost breakdowns for presentation to clients and project teams.
Analyze project risks, value engineering opportunities, and constructability issues.
Lead pre-construction meetings and collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market pricing, labor rates, and material costs in the industry.
Oversee estimating team members, providing guidance, training, and quality control of their work.
Manage deadlines and ensure timely submission of bids and proposals.
Support contract negotiations by providing cost data and clarifications.
Track historical cost data and maintain databases to improve accuracy of future estimates.

Qualifications:

At least 5+ years of experience (minimum) for Estimator and 7+ years of experience for a Senior Estimator with multifamily, healthcare and commercial construction experience - $75M+
Strong work ethic, team player with strong attention to detail, and ability to work independently
Excellent critical thinking, detail-oriented, problem-solving, mathematical, and sound judgment skills
Multifamily Construction experience
CMIC software experience is required
