Job summary

Nucor Rebar Fabrication Midwest in Newton, IA seeks an Estimator to prepare quantities for bids on reinforcing bars, mesh, and accessories. You will contribute to competitive, accurate proposals for NRF customers and progress through NRF Estimator Training.

Proficiency with Takeoff Software and aSa Estimating Software is expected, with collaboration across Sales to shape scope and bidding strategy, while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings including structural, architectural and civil drawings.
• Knowledge of concrete structures, CRSI/ACI standards.
• Working knowledge of aSa Estimating.

Responsibilities

• Prepare timely estimates of quantities of fabricated reinforcing bars, mesh, accessories, and related products for bidding projects.
• Progress in NRF Estimator Training Program and build estimating skills.
• Coordinate with sales to refine bidding scope and strategy.
