Job summary

Marek, based in Nashville, TN, seeks an Estimator-Project Manager to sell and manage commercial construction projects. You will build strong relationships with new and existing customers, secure projects, and lead the project team with the General Contractor and Owner’s vision.

You will also partner with vendors and act as the primary contact for escalation of issues, embodying honesty, communication, organization, and teamwork to drive profitable results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or related field is preferred.
• 3+ years of progressive experience in commercial or residential construction selling, estimating and managing projects.
• Experience with estimating, scheduling and project management software (e.g., BlueBeam, PlanGrid).

Responsibilities

• Proactively identifies and pursues target customers and projects in alignment with Marek goals.
• Creates and maintains close, trusting relationships with customers and potential customers.
• Develops insights into customers’ business plans with their clients.
• Influences recommendations, project scope, decision criteria, schedule, etc. to position Marek for win-win outcomes.
• Consistently secures profitable and/or strategic customers and projects.
• Delivers complete, well-informed customer presentations.
• Effectively negotiates balancing risks and rewards.
• Participates in industry organizations.
