Full Job Description
Lime Painting of Westchester is looking for a driven and detail-focused Estimator / Outside Sales Representative to help fuel our growth. This hybrid role combines door-to-door canvassing, client consultations, and jobsite estimating - ideal for someone who's equally at home knocking doors and talking to strangers as they are capturing square footage and writing job scope notes.


You'll be responsible for generating leads, qualifying them, and creating detailed project scopes for our proposal team to price and send to clients. If you're a confident communicator who thrives on accountability, relationship-building, and closing deals, this is a strong fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct door-to-door canvassing in targeted areas to generate leads
  • Represent LIME at community events and networking functions
  • Guide prospects through the sales funnel with excellent communication and professionalism
  • Attend appointments and walk job sites to document scope and measurements
  • Draft detailed project notes to assist in proposal preparation
  • Attend pre-scheduled and self-generated appointments
  • Conduct jobsite walk-throughs, take measurements, and document project details
  • Clearly communicate exclusions, prep work, and scope items to proposal team
  • Collaborate closely with internal operations to ensure accurate proposals and a smooth client experience
  • Update and maintain accurate client records in Client Tether CRM
  • Upload notes, photos, and follow-up details to support sales tracking
  • Collaborate with operations to ensure smooth handoffs and accurate proposals
  • Occasional Production Support
    • Attend project walk-throughs to verify scope and client expectations
    • Support the production team in ensuring scope alignment
The ideal candidate should possess:
  • Previous experience in estimating, home improvement, or a related field preferred
  • Previous sales experience is a must. (Sales in construction is a plus)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to take clear job-site notes/photos
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Comfort working with tech platforms and CRMs (experience with Client Tether is a plus)
  • Self-starter who thrives on accountability and working independently
  • Professional appearance and strong customer service instincts
  • Bi-weekly pay cycle
  • 6% commission on closed personal sales
  • Paid holidays and up to 2 weeks' personal or sick days
  • Remote/hybrid work flexibility
