Job summary

Pinewood Tool Corp is seeking an Estimator & Operations Specialist to own RFQ quotes from order to delivery. You will coordinate with the Toolroom Supervisor and owner to optimize workflows, quoting accuracy, and on-time delivery.

The role blends hands-on machining insight with front-office leadership to grow an AI-enabled precision shop. You will drive cost and lead-time improvements, manage purchasing, and shape reliable customer relationships while advancing ERP and AI-driven processes across

Qualifications

7+ years in a machine shop or precision manufacturing with estimating, operations, or planning responsibilities.
Hands-on machining background (e.g., toolmaker, CNC machinist) with front-office leadership drive.
Strong understanding of prints, GD&T, and how processes affect cost and lead times.
Data-driven: advanced Excel usage and ERP data interpretation.

Responsibilities

Quote new and repeat work using ERP and AI tools; read prints, plan processes, source materials, and estimate hours.
Coordinate day-to-day operations with the Toolroom Supervisor to keep jobs on track for due dates.
Oversee outside processing, heat treat, coating, shipping, and receiving; support quality with certifications.
Procure materials and tooling; negotiate prices, lead times, and supplier terms; manage supplier relationships.
Foster customer relationships with accurate quotes, reliable delivery dates, and clear communication.
Drive process improvements; ensure ERP data cleanliness and implement AI-assisted workflows.
