Job summary

Michels Utility Services, Inc. is seeking an Estimator to evaluate bid specifications and drawings, ensuring all requirements are captured for a successful bid. You will coordinate with subcontractors and Project Management to align bids with budgets.

Strong numerical skills, Excel proficiency, and travel readiness (25%) are essential as you help deliver critical natural gas infrastructure projects nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering with 3-5 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Estimating experience or exposure to the utility industry.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Advanced Microsoft Office and Excel proficiency.
• Willingness to travel 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate bid specifications and drawings to ensure complete bid requirements.
• Follow up with subcontractors to verify bids and collect information.
• Collaborate with Project Management to track bids and budgets.
• Produce accurate work with strong attention to detail and timelines.
• Communicate clearly, with emphasis on numbers and analysis.
