Jennings Mechanical is seeking an Estimator to join our Preconstruction team in Orangeburg, SC. You will review drawings and bid documents, perform quantity takeoffs, and develop material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates for mechanical construction projects.

Collaborate with project managers, field teams, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure accurate, competitive estimates. New graduates with interest in expanding their estimating expertise are encouraged to apply.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• 2–4 years of estimating experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Responsabilidades

• Review drawings, specs, and bid documents to understand scope.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Request and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes.
• Identify discrepancies, scope gaps, and cost risks before bids.
• Prepare detailed estimates, bid summaries, and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with preconstruction, project management, and field personnel to validate pricing.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed.
• Maintain organized records of estimates and historical project costs.
• Assist with project handoffs and compare estimated vs. actual costs.
• Contribute ideas to improve estimating processes and efficiency.
