Job summary

Jennings Mechanical seeks a Project Manager to lead the delivery of commercial mechanical construction projects in Charleston, SC. You will own startup, planning, procurement, budgeting, scheduling, quality control, and client communication, partnering with the Superintendent to ensure safe, on-time, and on-budget completion.

The role requires deep knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, piping, and sheet metal systems, plus strong financial and leadership skills to mentor junior staff and drive project

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial mechanical construction experience.
• 3+ years managing commercial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, piping, and sheet metal systems.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, contracts, and schedules.
• Strong financial, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead project startup activities and establish project administration and logs.
• Coordinate project planning, drawings, specs, and schedules with the Superintendent and teams.
• Procure and review submittals, buyouts, and long-lead equipment.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports; track labor productivity.
• Oversee master schedule, manpower planning, and recovery actions.
• Conduct regular site visits, ensure quality, and coordinate inspections and closeout documentation.
• Maintain strong client and vendor relationships; attend meetings and report status.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and support field installation planning.
• Support field with procurement, scheduling, and issue resolution.
• Drive project closeout with startups, O&M manuals, warranties, and as-builts.
