Action Placements in Mahopac, NY seeks an experienced Estimator to join our boutique, high-end general contracting team focused on luxury residential and commercial projects.

The ideal candidate has strong estimating, budgeting, and takeoff skills, works closely with project managers, subcontractors, architects, and clients, and can read architectural drawings and specifications. Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction estimating experience.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Experience with high-end residential and commercial construction preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates and budgets for construction projects.
• Review plans, specifications, and bid documents.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis.
• Assist with project budgeting and value engineering.
• Work closely with project management throughout the preconstruction process.
• Help identify opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency.
