Top Drawer Luxury Home Builder is a construction and residential development firm based in New Rochelle, New York. In addition to providing comprehensive general contracting services and developing our own high-end residential projects, we operate an in-house custom cabinetry and millwork shop and manufacturing facility specializing in the design and production of custom cabinetry. This integrated approach allows us to maintain exceptional quality and craftsmanship throughout every stage of our projects.

Role Description:

We are looking for a Professional Construction Estimator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Construction estimating, Material takeoff’s, labor pricing, subcontractor quotes and preparing accurate project bids

The Estimator will be responsible for reviewing construction plans and specifications, identifying project requirements, obtaining and evaluating subcontractor and vendor quotes, and developing accurate and detailed budgets, proposals, and cost estimates to ensure projects are priced accurately and competitively. The role also involves collaborating with project managers, designers, and clients to clarify scope, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support overall project planning. The Construction Estimator will maintain up-to-date pricing data, track project costs, and assist with bid presentations and contract negotiations.

Responsibilities:

• Review architectural and engineering drawings, plans and specifications.
• Prepare detailed material and quantity takeoffs
• Estimate labor, materials, equipment and subcontractor costs
• Obtain and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
• Prepare accurate and completive project bids
• Identify potential cost risks, scope gaps, and discrepancies
• Communicate with contractors, suppliers, subcontractors and project managers
• Maintain organized estimating records and documentation
• Assist with bid preparation and project cost analysis
• Meet estimating deadlines and company quality standards

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a construction estimator is preferred
• Proficiency in Quantity Take-offs and the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and millwork fabrication processes.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines, maintain attention to detail with strong organizational skills
• Effective Communication skills for collaborating with internal team, vendors, and clients.
• Experience with estimating software
• Relevant education or training in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field; equivalent experience considered
