Job summary

ENGIE North America Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking an Estimator (Utility-Scale Renewables) to support wind, solar and BESS project cost estimation across North America.

This evergreen posting targets Estimator II and Senior Estimator levels based on experience and scope. Responsibilities include preparing budgetary and unit-based BOP estimates, evaluating equipment costs, reviewing drawings, and collaborating with engineering, construction and purchasing teams to develop reliable cost data

Qualifications

• Four-year degree or equivalent in construction estimating or related field.
• 2+ years of estimating experience for Estimator II; 5+ years for Senior Estimator, depending on scope.
• Experience estimating utility-scale renewables, heavy civil, or related infrastructure projects.
• Experience with HeavyBid or similar estimating software and RSMeans data.

Responsibilities

• Prepare budgetary and indicative BOP construction estimates for wind, solar, and BESS projects, including detailed takeoffs.
• Develop unit prices using production rates, subcontractor input, historical data and indexes.
• Review drawings, specs, conceptual layouts to determine scope and estimate requirements.
• Evaluate equipment specifications and new tech for potential cost impacts.
• Review third-party pricing and contractor proposals for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain estimating docs and cost data to support consistent practices.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Construction, PM, contractors and suppliers to provide cost information.
