Job summary

McGough is seeking an Estimator I to join our team in Raleigh, NC. The role focuses on reading project specs, performing quantity take-offs, and preparing comprehensive estimates for self-performed and subcontracted work.

You will contribute to bid development, assist with RFQs/RFPs, and support scheduling efforts while collaborating with project teams to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy.

Qualifications

• > Degree in Construction Engineering or Construction Management.
• < 2-5 years of construction and estimating experience.
• < Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• < Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• < Experience with takeoff software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity take-offs and prepare detailed estimates.
• Develop bid cards and pricing for subcontractors and self-perform work.
• Assist pursuit team with RFQs and RFPs and participate in pursuit interviews.
• Support CPM scheduling and input of project timelines.
• Collaborate with project team to refine estimates and assumptions.
