Job summary

Kraus-Anderson is seeking an experienced estimator/preconstruction specialist in Minneapolis. You will perform takeoffs, develop estimates from concept to GMP, and support value engineering across complex projects.

Join KA’s collaborative team, engage with owners, architects, and the project team, and contribute to cost management and decision making with historical data and forecasting tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field required.
• Knowledge of estimating software (OST, WinEst, Modelogix) preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Attend Owner/Client interviews and participate in design meetings.
• Prepare estimates from conceptual through final documents, including GMP.
• Develop value-engineering alternatives and document estimates for review.
• Solicit and evaluate bids from subs, vendors and suppliers.
• Set up project estimates in KA estimating software and maintain cost data.
