Job summary

Sundt Construction, Inc. is seeking Development track Estimator I/II in Tempe, AZ to support preconstruction bidding and estimating. You will participate in bid efforts, work with Design Build and CM at Risk strategies, and assist in developing budgets and plans under senior guidance.

Candidates should have 1–5 years of experience (level dependent), a four-year engineering degree or equivalent, and be proficient with MS Office. LEED accreditation is preferred or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• Principles of estimating and bid preparation.
• Four-year engineering degree or equivalent; LEED preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office; strong documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Accurately perform quantity takeoff.
• Assist pricing of project logistics (hoisting, lifts, temporary elements).
• Develop abstracts and evaluate basic trade bids.
• Understand indirect costs (insurance, taxes, fees).
• Develop pricing for basic elements and assist in deliverables.
• Draft subcontracts and purchase orders for review.
• Provide document control for plans and addenda.
• Solicit pricing for hard bid projects.
• Support conceptual estimating and develop basic models.
• Under supervision, develop budget uploads and purchasing plans.
