Job summary

DCG ONE in Maryland is seeking an entry-level Estimator I to support the Estimating team by preparing accurate pricing estimates and helping move projects from opportunity to production. Working under general supervision, this role performs routine estimating activities and collaborates with internal teams to support project success.

Responsibilities

• Provides a variety of routine duties to support the Estimating department.
• Supports team of Estimators and helps coordinate projects.
• Works closely with production staff and project managers to ensure accuracy of cost estimates.
• Enters estimates and jobs into company software program.
• Works closely with Estimating employees to learn various aspects of the print industry, estimating, job entry, purchasing, and project planning.

Qualifications

• Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with the print industry preferred.
• Four-year college degree preferred.
• May be required to complete and pass Public Trust Security Clearance

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is predominantly held in a clerical environment but will also need to work on the production floor in an industrial warehouse setting.

• This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
