Job Description

Moss Utilities is looking to hire a talented and highly motivated Estimator.Candidates should have heavy civil construction skills and an experience in estimating commercial & private development projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with wet utilities construction that includes water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, concrete structures, duct bank, etc.

Responsibilities

• Estimating self-performed projects which typically range from 1 million to 10 million dollars; including pricing labor, equipment, and material costs.
• Working knowledge of construction assemblies and all project phases.
• Ability to produce detailed, accurate estimates from conceptual and schematic drawings.
• Ability to assess site exposures/construction risks and be able to appropriately analyze cost and reflect these in an estimate.
• Identify constructability issues through the estimating process.
• Identify and propose value-engineering alternatives.

Education And/or Work Experience Requirements

2 - 4 years heavy civil estimating ideal, but not required. We will train the right candidate that fits our culture.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
• HCSS/Planswift/Bluebeam Experience preferred, but not required. We will train the right candidate.
• Strong organization and planning skills
• Ability to work on multiple projects under tight deadlines
• Salary based on qualifications & experience.
