Michels Underground Cable, Inc. is seeking an Estimator to evaluate bid specifications and drawings and help win projects in the power and communications sectors. You will follow up with subcontractors, collaborate with Project Management teams on bids and budgets, and maintain high accuracy and attention to detail.

Strong Excel skills and numerical ability are essential, with travel about 25%. The role offers a stable, family-owned environment within a large North American contractor network,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering required.
• 3-5 years of related estimating experience or equivalent.
• Estimating experience in electrical/utility industry or data centers preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel ~25%.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and numbers.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate bid specifications and drawings to capture all requirements for accurate bids.
• Follow up with subcontractors to ensure bids are received.
• Collaborate with Project Management teams to monitor bids and budgets.
• Maintain high attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure timely and accurate estimates.
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
