Michels Underground Cable, Inc. is seeking an Estimator to evaluate bid specifications and drawings for medium voltage duct banks, substation feeds, and underground transmission projects. The role requires precise, timely work, strong numerical skills, and collaboration with project teams to win contracts.

The position focuses on data center and mission critical projects, with opportunities for training and career development within a family-owned, stable contractor in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering and 3-5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of both.
• Estimating experience with OR exposure to medium voltage (MV) duct banks, substation feeds, underground transmission, or campus distribution systems for data center projects.
• Must possess a valid driver license and an acceptable driving record.
• Solid Microsoft Office experience, with advanced knowledge of Excel.
• Ability to travel 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate bid specifications and drawings to prepare accurate bids.
• Follow up with subcontractors to ensure bids are received and aligned with budgets.
• Collaborate with Project Management teams to close bids and manage budgets.
