Job summary

Michels Underground Cable, Inc. is seeking an Estimator to evaluate bid specifications and drawings, ensuring we have everything needed to bid and win projects focused on MV duct banks and underground distribution.

You will follow up with subcontractors and coordinate with Project Management on bids and budgets. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Construction Management or Engineering, 3–5 years of related experience, strong Excel skills, and can travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering and 3-5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of both.
• Estimating experience with OR exposure to medium voltage (MV) duct banks, substation feeds, underground transmission, or campus distribution systems for data center projects
• Must possess a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven and an acceptable driving record
• Solid Microsoft Office experience, with advanced knowledge of Excel
• Ability to travel 25% of the time

Responsibilities

• Evaluate bid specifications and drawings to ensure complete bids.
• Follow-up with subcontractors to ensure bids are received.
• Work with Project Management teams to follow-up on bids and budgets to close the business.
• Produce highly accurate bid documents in a timely manner.
