Job summary

DH Pace Company, Inc. in Olathe, KS is seeking an Estimator to join our team. Under minimal supervision, the estimator will prepare accurate, timely bids for commercial/industrial door and loading dock systems and support our sales staff to drive profitable projects.

Knowledge of construction or building materials is strongly preferred. The role requires proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office, and may include overtime to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience reading blueprints/plans and specs is highly desirable.
• Must have strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively while sustaining workloads.
• Overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develop or possess advanced skills at using DH Pace estimating processes and software (Excel, Bluebeam, Smartsheet, IFS, SAM).
• Acquire advanced knowledge of door and dock products and pricing variances for specific job needs.
• Develop understanding of core product lines and vendor relationships.
• Assist sales team in product options and selections to ensure the best project outcome.
• Prepare accurate project cost estimates and bids through effective quote review and scope creation.
• Prepare clear proposals for review and approval.
