Job summary

General Dynamics Land Systems is seeking an Estimator to support development of proposals for GDLS products and services. The role involves ensuring cost inputs are accurate, aligned with FAR/CAS, and presented to ELT; you will handle multiple proposals in varying stages and assist with audits and negotiations.

The position requires strong Excel skills, experience in PM/Finance or Accounting, and ability to work in a fast-paced defense environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with MS Excel.
• Understanding of CAS and FAR.
• Experience in Program Management, Finance or Accounting and/or Defense Industry.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in core team meetings to adhere to proposal schedule and requirements.
• Translate customer requirements into instructions for internal GDLS functions and monitor conformity.
• Review estimated hours and costs by function related to scope of work.
• Prepare summaries and submittal documents consolidating costs and text using ProPricer.
• Complete all necessary customer deliverables.
• Present proposals to leadership in verbal and written form.
• Support contract negotiations and pricing artifacts through award.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Train and mentor new employees.
