Job summary

CRH Americas Building Products in Hancock, MN is seeking an Estimator to handle project estimating and support the sales team with accounts. You will work with engineering, vendors and production staff to ensure costs are covered and accurate, serving as the main point of contact to ensure designs and specifications are met.

Responsibilities include coordinating bids, obtaining vendor quotes, reviewing proposals, leading turnover meetings, and assisting with change orders while proactively

Qualifications

• Estimating/Project Management experience preferred.
• Ability to manage several bids/projects simultaneously.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Associates Degree / Civil Engineering preferred, or equivalent.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to read engineered drawings/blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Estimate multiple projects concurrently and deliver proposals before bid date.
• Contact vendors for pricing; review quotes to meet designs/specifications.
• Review proposals with sales staff to ensure requirements and timelines.
• Lead turnover meetings at point of sale; verify scope and values.
• Assist with change orders promptly as requested by owners/clients/architects.
• Monitor progress; proactively solve problems to keep projects on schedule.
