The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in construction estimation, strong blueprint literacy, and proficiency in estimating software and MS Office.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimation or related role.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and plans.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills to create accurate estimates.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed project cost estimates for construction projects including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Review blueprints and specifications to prepare cost estimates.
  • Conduct site visits and collect data for estimation and bidding.
  • Collaborate with PMs, engineers, architects, contractors, and clients on cost management.
  • Analyze subcontractor proposals for fairness and accuracy.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and local market for competitive estimates.
  • Prepare and present bids and reports for clients and stakeholders.
  • Maintain estimation documentation and databases.

Responsibilities
  1. 1. Develop comprehensive, detailed project cost estimates and proposals for construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  2. 2. Review and interpret technical construction blueprints, design drawings, and specifications to prepare cost estimates.
  3. 3. Conduct site visits and gather all necessary data to aid in estimation and bidding.
  4. 4. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, contractors, and clients to provide advice on construction cost management.
  5. 5. Analyze and evaluate subcontractor proposals and bids for fairness, accuracy, and completeness.
  6. 6. Maintain a thorough understanding of industry trends, cost fluctuations, and the local construction market to ensure the most accurate and competitive estimates.
  7. 7. Prepare and present detailed reports or bids for clients and stakeholders.
  8. 8. Manage and maintain all estimation documentation, including updating databases and tracking systems.
  9. 9. Participate in negotiations and discussions with contractors and suppliers.
  10. 10. Provide post-bid analysis on awarded projects and offer insights for future bidding strategies.
Qualifications

  8. 8. Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
  9. 9. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  10. 10. Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and standards.
  11. 11. A proactive approach, with the ability to anticipate potential issues and devise solutions in advance.
