BRG's Global Construction practice is a multidisciplinary team that has a strong foundation in project management, scheduling, and accounting combined with deep construction consulting and industry experience. BRG experts have extensively advised clients and their outside counsel to assess allegations and facts at issue. We are experienced in litigation and domestic and international arbitration, and include professional engineers, project management professionals, registered architects, AACE Certified Planning and Scheduling Professionals, Certified Public Accountants, Certified Fraud Examiners, forensic accountants, and industry leaders. We are currently seeking a seasoned professional with forensics and litigation advisory experience for our construction practice.
This person needs to be a licensed contractor with consulting industry experience in Florida that currently resides there and can work out of an office or remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to build and lead high-performance & people: Leverage the collective through strong teaming and collaboration; continuously develop self and others.
- Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on a range of projects and/or asset management functions including defect analysis, delay & disruption analysis, claims and change order preparations, discovery, and/or standard of care.
- Assist in identifying cost effective design elements, design phase construction estimated, Change order request review, lifecycle cost analysis, and project budget development.
- Consistently deliver high-quality work that achieves optimal client and project outcomes.
- Understands BRG core services and recommends solutions and resources outside of team/practice.
- Provides strategic recommendations for project/group and overall business that will directly impact achievement of results.
- Assist in building leading practices and operations by constantly innovating to stay ahead of our clients and our competitors.
- Assist in setting strategy for the group, lead major client engagements, develop brand and marketing collateral, direct business development efforts, and manage the group.
- Monitors and ensures client satisfaction with overall service and quality of deliverables
- Defines a compelling value proposition aligned with the client's challenges and needs.
- Adheres to engagement acceptance process within established policies and time frames.
- Defines strategy and manages multiple and/or complex engagements.
- Writes and presents topics of interest to clients and industry peers on webinars, at conferences, and through journal papers, etc.
- Attends professional development/training opportunities.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree with a focus in engineering or construction management is required; MS or MBA is highly preferred;
- Minimum six (6+) years field experience in the construction industry;
- Must have both onsite construction management and consulting experience;
- Must be a licensed general contractor in state of Florida;
- Experience with cost estimating, change order pricing, prepared time requests, and/or experience in managing claims in the consulting industry;
- Must have excellent technical writing skills;
- Experience working collaboratively with and leading teams;
- Ability to work independently and remotely, and travel for client work when needed;
