Construction Electrical Estimator w/ Data Center Experience

Description

We are seeking a Construction Electrical Estimator with Data Center experience to join our team. This role involves creating and managing budgets, reviewing plans, preparing take-offs and estimates, negotiating with contractors and vendors, and building relationships with clients and site managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain standardized estimate cost reporting frameworks for colocation data center projects.
• Evaluate estimates based on ROM, schematic, or construction pricing.
• Review and validate scope against predefined criteria, highlighting deviations and their cost impacts.
• Analyze and compare data center construction costs with market intelligence and parametric data.
• Assess security costs in comparison with client data.
• Document all assumptions and exclusions in cost estimates.
• Track design changes and report on cost and schedule impacts.
• Incorporate value engineering options.
• Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders to leverage market intelligence.
• Prepare high-level ROM estimates for planning and pipeline projects.
• Develop cost modeling tools to enhance benchmarking and estimation processes.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications/Relevant Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of cost management or estimating experience, preferably in large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in CostX and Google Suite or Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of construction technologies and sustainability trends.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within interdisciplinary teams.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
