The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in plumbing estimating, strong knowledge of codes, and proficiency in FastEst and MS Office.

Qualifications

As they continue to grow, they are seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial Plumbing Estimator to join their team.

The Commercial Plumbing Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive plumbing estimates for a wide range of commercial projects, including new construction, renovations, and tenant improvements. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing systems, construction processes, and the ability to analyze project specifications and blueprints. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to effectively communicate with clients, project managers, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and contracts to develop accurate plumbing estimates
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial plumbing projects, including labor, materials, and equipment
• Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain quotes and pricing information
• Evaluate site conditions and scope of work to ensure all necessary work is included in the estimate
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of local plumbing codes, regulations, and industry standards
• Present and explain estimates to clients, ensuring clear communication and addressing any questions or concerns
• Track and update project budgets throughout the bidding and construction phases
• Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions
• Maintain organized and accurate records of estimates, bids, and related documentation
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers
• Attend Job Walk Throughs
• Stay up to date with industry trends, materials, and technology advancements to ensure competitive and accurate estimates

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a plumbing estimator, preferably in a commercial setting
• In-depth knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, codes, and industry standards
• Proficiency in Fast Est estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
