Job summary

Preston Recruitment in Houston, TX is partnering with a fast-growing electrical contractor to hire a Senior Electrical Estimator for the Preconstruction team. You will price a diverse range of commercial projects, lead bid proposals, and mentor junior estimators in a collaborative environment.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of commercial electrical estimating experience, proficiency with Accubid (LiveCount desirable), and a strong background in electrical construction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' commercial electrical estimating experience.
• Strong commercial electrical construction background.
• Experience with Accubid (LiveCount is highly desirable).

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive electrical estimates and bid proposals.
• Complete quantity take-offs using Accubid and LiveCount.
• Review drawings, specifications and bid documentation.
• Develop labour, material and subcontractor pricing.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and project walkthroughs.
• Build relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Mentor junior estimators and support continuous improvement within the estimating team.

We're partnering with one of Texas' fastest-growing commercial electrical contractors to recruit a Senior Electrical Estimator to join their expanding Preconstruction team in Houston, Texas.

Key Responsibilities:
