Job summary

Outsourcey is seeking an Estimator to join our team and help connect businesses with dedicated full-time staff in the Philippines. You will support cost estimation across projects with accuracy and value, shaping budgets and tenders.

You will read drawings, perform take-offs, compare quotations, and collaborate with project managers and site teams to drive cost efficiency and successful tender outcomes.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as an Estimator in construction, preferably on similar projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and current market rates.
• Ability to read, interpret, and measure from drawings.
• Proficiency in estimating software, take-off tools, and Excel.
• High numerical accuracy with strong analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
• Good time management and ability to handle multiple estimates.
• Relevant qualification in Construction Management, QS, Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates from budgeting through tender submission.
• Interpret architectural/engineering drawings, specs, and contracts to understand scope.
• Create detailed quantities for materials, labor, plant, and subcontractors.
• Source and compare supplier/subcontractor quotes for competitive pricing.
• Identify risks, variations, and value engineering opportunities.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site teams pre-construction.
• Maintain estimating records and pricing databases for future use.
• Assist with tender submissions and post-tender clarifications.

Profile Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience as an Estimator within the construction industry, preferably on similar project types
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and current market rates
• Ability to accurately read, interpret, and measure from architectural and engineering drawings
• Proficiency in estimating software, take-off tools, and Microsoft Excel
• High level of numerical accuracy with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders
• Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple estimates under tight deadlines
• Relevant qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related discipline

Core responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects across all stages, from early budgeting through to final tender submission
• Review and interpret architectural drawings, engineering plans, specifications, and contract documentation to fully understand project scope
• Complete detailed quantity take-offs for materials, labour, plant, and subcontractor works
• Source, evaluate, and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure competitive and compliant pricing
• Identify potential project risks, cost variations, and opportunities for value engineering or cost savings
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams during pre-construction and handover phases
• Maintain accurate estimating records, cost databases, and pricing schedules for future reference
• Assist with tender submissions, post-tender clarifications, negotiations, and contract award processes
