Zusammenfassung

Engtal is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its preconstruction team for commercial projects in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. You will prepare budgets, perform takeoffs, and evaluate bids while coordinating with PMs, superintendents, and leadership through turnover.

Ideal candidates have 3–10 years in estimating/preconstruction, GC experience preferred, and familiarity with Bluebeam/Excel/Procore. Base salary ranges from $100,000 to $150,000 with performance bonuses and solid benefits.

Qualifikationen

• 3–10 years of estimating or preconstruction experience.
• General contractor experience preferred.
• Experience with ground-up commercial construction and/or large-scale renovations.
• Strong knowledge of drawings, specifications, building systems, and subcontractor scopes.
• Experience with Bluebeam, Excel or Procore.

I’m working with an established general contractor in the Dallas-Fort Worth market looking to add an Estimator to its preconstruction team. This is a strong opportunity for someone with commercial construction experience looking to take on larger projects and continue developing within preconstruction.

The Role

• Prepare conceptual budgets, detailed estimates, and competitive bids for commercial construction projects.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and review drawings, specifications, and subcontractor proposals.
• Solicit subcontractor and supplier pricing and assist with bid leveling and scope review.
• Identify scope gaps, cost risks, and value engineering opportunities throughout preconstruction.
• Work alongside Project Managers, Superintendents, and senior preconstruction leadership through project turnover.
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors and trade partners throughout the DFW market.

What They’re Looking For

• 3–10 years of estimating or preconstruction experience.
• General contractor experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with ground-up commercial construction and/or large-scale renovations.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, building systems, and subcontractor scopes.
• Experience with Bluebeam, Excel, Procore, or similar estimating/construction software.
• Existing knowledge of the DFW subcontractor market is a plus.
• Construction Management, Engineering, or related degree preferred but not required.
• $100,000–$150,000 base salary, depending on experience.
