Job summary

Engtal is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its preconstruction team for commercial projects in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. You will prepare budgets, perform takeoffs, and evaluate bids while coordinating with PMs, superintendents, and leadership through turnover.

Ideal candidates have 3–10 years in estimating/preconstruction, GC experience preferred, and familiarity with Bluebeam/Excel/Procore. Base salary ranges from $100,000 to $150,000 with performance bonuses and solid benefits.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of estimating or preconstruction experience.
• General contractor experience preferred.
• Experience with ground-up commercial construction and/or large-scale renovations.
• Strong knowledge of drawings, specifications, building systems, and subcontractor scopes.
• Experience with Bluebeam, Excel or Procore.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual budgets and detailed estimates for commercial projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and subcontractor proposals.
• Solicit subcontractor pricing and assist with bid leveling.
• Identify scope gaps, cost risks, and value engineering opportunities.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and senior leadership through turnover.
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors and trade partners in the DFW market.
