A well-established Florida General Contractor is looking to hire an experienced Estimator to support a growing pipeline of commercial and residential projects across Miami-Dade County. The role involves preparing competitive estimates, reviewing specifications, and supporting bid strategy. Candidates should have proven experience with a Florida-based General Contractor and strong knowledge of local building practices. This position offers a base salary up to $120,000, depending on experience, with opportunities for growth into senior roles.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates from concept through final bid.
• Review drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
• Solicit and analyse subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and cost comparisons.
• Support bid strategy, value engineering, and cost planning.

Skills

Proven Estimator experience

Strong knowledge of Miami-Dade building practices

Ability to work independently

Base pay range

$90,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

A well‑established Florida General Contractor is looking to hire an experienced Estimator to support a growing pipeline of commercial and residential projects across Miami‑Dade County.

This is a key hire for the business, offering long‑term stability, strong project exposure, and the opportunity to play a hands‑on role in winning and delivering high‑quality work.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates from concept through final bid, working closely with preconstruction, project management, and senior leadership.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing detailed cost estimates for commercial and residential construction projects
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and scopes of work
• Soliciting and analysing subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Conducting quantity take‑offs and cost comparisons
• Supporting bid strategy, value engineering, and cost planning
• Assisting with budget handover to project teams post‑award

What We’re Looking For

• Proven Estimator experience with a Florida‑based General Contractor (essential)
• Strong knowledge of Miami‑Dade building practices, codes, and subcontractor markets
• Experience estimating commercial and/or multifamily residential projects
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple bids at once
• Proficiency with estimating software and Excel
• Detail‑oriented, organised, and commercially aware
