Our client, a South Florida plumbing and water well contractor, is hiring an Estimator / Project Manager in Fort Myers, FL to win the right commercial and municipal jobs and carry them through to final payment.
You will own each job from the first site visit to close-out and collection. That means qualifying leads, walking sites, reading plans and specs, and building hard bid estimates and scope proposals that hold margin. Once a bid is awarded, you pull permits, schedule crews with operations, and stay accountable until the job is closed and paid.
The work is commercial and municipal: well rehabs, vertical turbine pumps, large-diameter wells, and site piping such as water main, gravity sewer, and drainage. This is not residential service call work.
Our client was founded in 2017 and is owner-operated by someone with 40+ years in the industry. The team is about 20 people, so your numbers and your follow-through are noticed. You report directly to the owner and keep them informed of cost, schedule, and risk.
Current projects include an RO plant on Sanibel Island and sewer connections for a Bonita Springs utility. Your time is split between the office and active job sites, Monday through Friday, about 40 to 50 hours a week, with occasional early, evening, or weekend work when an inspection or bid deadline calls for it.
Employment is contingent on a background check, motor vehicle records check, drug screen, and a 90-day probationary and training period.
$100,000–$110,000 per year, full-time salaried, paid weekly on Fridays by direct deposit. Our client is flexible on compensation. Benefits include a health insurance stipend to buy your own plan, 10 days of PTO after the 90-day training period, a company AmEx for approved expenses, and a company vehicle (possible) or IRS standard mileage reimbursement for business miles.
