Job summary

ITAC Solutions, LLC supports a client seeking an Estimator to join a well-established commercial general contractor, bidding on $10M-$100M projects in Temple/Austin. You will review plans, perform takeoffs, and develop accurate bids while coordinating with PMs, subs, and suppliers.

You will receive direct mentorship from a Senior Estimator and benefit from health and dental coverage, basic life insurance, and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read Civil, Architectural, Structural, and MEP drawings.
• Proficiency with Excel, On-Screen Takeoff (OST), and Bluebeam.
• Understanding of commercial construction scopes and trade responsibilities.
• Construction management or engineering degree is preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of general contracting and preconstruction processes.
• Willingness to work on-site in Temple or Austin.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specifications, drawings, and project documents to determine scope.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and labor cost analysis.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• Develop accurate, competitive project estimates and bids.
• Identify potential risks, cost savings, and project contingencies.
• Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers throughout preconstruction.
• Evaluate projects and support bid strategy and development.

You'll work alongside a Senior Estimator on $10M-$100M commercial projects, helping shape accurate, competitive bids while collaborating with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
