Primoris Services Corporation – Utilities Segment in Little Canada, MN is seeking an Estimator to prepare detailed bid analyses for utility construction projects including natural gas and electric distribution. The role emphasizes accuracy, leadership, and collaboration within the estimating team.

The successful candidate will attend pre-bid meetings, review bid documents, develop and submit questions, prepare pricing and schedules, and coordinate with multiple business units to meet deadlines.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in construction estimating preferred.
• Experience with Bid2Win software is preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Excellent communication skills (written & spoken).
• Detail oriented and focused on accuracy.
• Demonstrate leadership, critical thinking, and mediation skills.
• Self-motivated, self-learner, capable of working autonomously.

Job Overview

Primoris Gas Operations, which consist of companies such as Q3 Contracting, ARB, Primoris Distribution Services, Snelson and Pipejacking Trenchless, has over 60 years of experience working in the natural gas distribution industry. Over this time, we have maintained numerous customer relationships spanning more than two decades. Primoris Services Corporation – Utilities Segment is currently looking for an Estimator. The Estimator completes intermediate sized estimates by performing a thorough and complete bid analysis reviewing all relevant project data, facts, and information, developing a plan for the scope of work involved in the project using sound reasoning and optimal means and methods of construction. This will cover utility construction projects and contracts including natural gas distribution and transmission, electric distribution and transmission, traffic control, telecom, and asphalt, concrete & soft surface restoration. This in an onsite office position located in Little Canada, MN.

Position Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in construction estimating preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred.
• Experience with Bid2Win software is preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Excellent communication skills (written & spoken).
• Detail oriented and focused on accuracy.
• Demonstrate leadership, critical thinking, and mediation skills.
• Self-motivated, self-learner, capable of working autonomously.
• Works well under pressure, responds appropriately to changing priorities and unexpected situations.
• General understanding of Fixed Price, Time & Materials, Cost Plus and Unit contract pricing mechanisms.
