Job summary

Primoris Gas Operations is seeking an Estimator for our Little Canada, MN office. You will perform thorough bid analysis, develop project scope and pricing, and coordinate with estimating and operations teams to produce accurate bids for natural gas distribution and related utilities.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of construction estimating experience, a degree in construction management or a related field, and proficiency with Bid2Win and MS Office.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction estimating experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred.
• Experience with Bid2Win software preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).

Responsibilities

• Attend customer pre-bid meetings and visit job sites as needed.
• Review bid documents for critical cost drivers and risks.
• Prepare bid pricing, schedules, and submittal documents.
• Communicate clearly with Estimating and Operations teams.
• Coordinate with other Estimating Team members and protect confidential information.
• Solicit material and subcontractor quotes and meet milestones.

The Estimator completes intermediate sized estimates by performing a thorough and complete bid analysis reviewing all relevant project data, facts, and information, developing a plan for the scope of work involved in the project using sound reasoning and optimal means and methods of construction.
