Role Description

The Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based in Chapin, SC, responsible for assessing residential and commercial restoration projects and preparing accurate cost estimates. Day-to-day work includes inspecting damaged properties, documenting the scope of fire, water, smoke, mold, and other restoration needs, and using estimating tools or software to develop detailed project proposals. The Estimator will collaborate closely with project managers, technicians, and office staff to clarify job requirements, align estimates with industry standards, and support timely project execution. This role also involves communicating with customers and insurance representatives, explaining estimates, responding to questions, and updating documentation as conditions change. The Estimator is expected to maintain high levels of professionalism, safety awareness, and customer service while working in various on-site environments.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to inspect properties, document damage, and prepare clear, detailed estimates for restoration projects.
• Experience using estimating or project management software and basic proficiency with office productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers, team members, and insurance representatives.
• Solid organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
• Understanding of or interest in fire, water, smoke, and mold restoration processes, building materials, and construction terminology.
• Commitment to safety practices and willingness to work on-site in varied conditions, including occasionally in damaged or partially restored structures.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or experience in restoration, construction, or a related field is beneficial.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for traveling to project sites in and around Moncks Corner, SC.
