Job summary

Taylor Corporation's Navitor facility in North Mankato, MN is hiring an Estimating Representative on 1st shift, Monday–Friday 7:30am–4:00pm. You will process quotes quickly while balancing profitability and the ability to secure the order.

This role requires strong math, Excel, and estimating-system experience, plus the ability to collaborate with sales, CSR, AM and engineering teams to optimize production costs.

Qualifications

• Strong math skills with basic algebra and calculations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office Suite.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Experience using computerized estimating systems is preferred.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Receive and respond to quote requests from sales and customers.
• Review and prepare responses to RFPs by gathering data for production costs.
• Understand cost pricing factors such as material cost and make-ready.
• Collaborate with CSR, AM, and Sales Reps to meet customer requirements.
• Work with Engineering/Manufacturing to identify efficient production processes.
• Estimate job costs and apply appropriate markup.
• Quote alternative materials to meet requirements and secure orders.
• Strive to improve processes and cost efficiencies.
