Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive manufacturing experience or equivalent
• 3+ years in a leadership role
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods, techniques, and equipment
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business data and regulations
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence
• Ability to present information to groups of stakeholders
• Ability to apply fractions, percentages, and proportions to printing jobs
• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization
• Ability to exercise independent judgment in complex situations
• Ability to develop and motivate a team with strong interpersonal skills
• Must manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities
• Proficient in MS Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and coordinate departmental activities to fulfill sales orders and meet customer delivery timelines
• Manage the operations of the North Mankato facility
• Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to drive positive results
• Lead process improvement initiatives using Six Sigma and Lean tools
• Prepare annual budget and maintain plant expenses by reducing waste and increasing efficiency
• Recruit and develop hourly employees, coordinators and team leaders for current and future needs
• Review plant layout and implement changes for optimal workflow
• Negotiate major contracts with suppliers; manage vendor relationships and quality issues
• Provide ongoing morale and leadership; conduct monthly performance reviews with reports
• Coach team leaders and employees on documentation and corrective actions as needed
• Remove obstacles and secure resources to help teams meet objectives
• Maintain equipment maintenance program and spare parts inventory
• Ensure a safe work environment through training and enforcement of safety policies
