Job summary

International Erosion Control Association seeks an Estimator who can merge estimating with project management across a portfolio of federal, healthcare, and public-sector projects. About the Company

Our client an established and growing General Contractor is seeking an Estimator who can then project manage the projects to join their team in Howard County, MD. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of projects from preconstruction through completion while working on a diverse portfolio of federal, healthcare, senior living, and public-sector projects. They are delivering projects across the DMV and North Carolina, supported by a strong pipeline of federal design-build work and long-standing repeat client relationships.

The company primarily delivers healthcare facilities, community and senior living developments, public sector projects, and federal construction work. Their project portfolio typically consists of projects valued between $3 million and $5 million, with larger opportunities reaching up to $10 million. On average, the scope of work they pursue ranges from $750,000 to $1 million, and they maintain a consistent pipeline, estimating approximately two to three bids per week across their target sectors.

The Role

This position is ideal for someone who can bridge both estimating and project management responsibilities. You will be involved from project pursuit through closeout, providing continuity and ownership throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

While detailed takeoffs may not be required on every project, candidates should possess strong estimating fundamentals and the ability to develop, understand, and manage project budgets.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Annual base salary $120,000 - $130,000 (commensurate with experience)
  • Annual performance bonus typically ranging from 12% - 20% of base salary
  • 5 weeks PTO, inclusive of federal holidays
  • 401(k) with 3% company match
  • Healthcare coverage with employer paying 80% of employee premium
  • Dependent coverage shared on a 50/50 basis
