Job summary

Accrescent Group is seeking an Estimating Manager to lead complex cost estimates for bids and negotiated proposals within a collaborative preconstruction environment. The role includes ownership of estimating activities, quantity surveying, specification review, subcontractor pricing, and scope development to support project profitability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of estimating experience.
• 5–7 years total construction experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with construction estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex cost estimates for competitive bids and negotiated proposals.
• Perform quantity surveys of materials based on project drawings and plans.
• Read, interpret project specifications and maintain audit trails of surveys and estimates.
• Coordinate vendor and subcontractor pricing, bid solicitation and follow-up.
• Develop and manage scopes of work for various trades.
• Prepare material and cost summaries based on vendor quotations.
• Assist with analysis of building components and MEP systems.
• Provide training and mentorship to team members.
