Job summary

Spencer Ogden is seeking an experienced Estimating Manager to lead conceptual and detailed estimating across complex commercial and industrial projects in the Dallas area. You will own the estimating process, coordinating with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and project teams to develop accurate, competitive estimates for major pursuits.

The role requires 10+ years in commercial/industrial construction with EPCC experience and proficiency in WinEst/Accubid/Bluebeam and MS Office.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience within commercial or industrial construction.
• EPCC project experience required.
• Experience with commercial building projects.
• Data center and semiconductor experience is a plus.
• Experience with Trimble WinEst, Accubid, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise estimating and bidding activities.
• Develop estimate plans, schedules, and work package breakdowns.
• Lead the development of total project estimates, both conceptual and detailed.
• Prepare comprehensive Bases of Estimate and Estimate Risk Analyses.
• Develop material, labor, and subcontractor take-offs.
• Provide cost contingency recommendations based on project risks.
• Support proposal preparation, presentations, and securing new work.
• Coordinate estimating activities with project and capture teams.
• Present project estimates to executive and client management teams.
• Work collaboratively across Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning functions.

What We’re Looking For:

• 10+ years of experience within commercial or industrial construction
• 7+ years of competitive bid/estimating experience preferred
• EPCC project experience required
• Experience with commercial building projects
• Data center and semiconductor experience is a plus
• Experience with Trimble WinEst, Accubid, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office preferred
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and construction documentation
• Experience developing conceptual cost models from limited information
• Proven ability to perform detailed material take-offs
• Strong communication, organization, and coordination skills
• Willingness to travel to support project and corporate requirements
