• Manage the bid process by coordinating with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to negotiate terms and finalize pricing strategies.
• Prepare detailed spreadsheets and reports using Microsoft Office tools to document estimates, bid summaries, and project cost controls.
• Assist in reviewing contracts and ensuring all estimates align with contractual obligations and project scope.
• Support project managers by providing cost management insights during project planning and execution phases.
• Stay current with industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and new estimating techniques to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Experience

• Proven experience managing projects as a construction estimator within the commercial construction industry.
• Strong proficiency with estimating software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, or similar tools.
• Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and reviewing construction plans.
• Demonstrated ability in cost control, material cost estimating, and budgeting for large-scale projects.
• Familiarity with construction management software and Microsoft Office suite for documentation and communication purposes.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Construction site experience is highly desirable to better understand the on-the-ground realities that impact estimates.
