Job summary

Jackson Family Wines seeking an Estate Assistant Manager to support the Matanzas Creek winery and its exceptional team in Santa Rosa, CA. The role focuses on leading tasting room operations, delivering memorable guest experiences, and driving direct-to-consumer sales.

You will work under the Estate Manager, recruiting and training top talent. The position requires strong leadership, a proven sales track record, and ability to manage events, budgeting, and cross-functional collaboration with

Qualifications

• 3+ years related experience in retail, sales, or tasting room management.
• Proven track record in direct sales, leading and growing the business.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience with Point of Sale and ERP software.
• Knowledge of merchandising wine and non-wine items.
• Fluent in English.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Supports all tasting room operations: sales plans, customer service, inventory accuracy, and events.
• Manages direct selling initiatives via email, phone, and text under Estate Manager guidance.
• Coaches and develops Estate team members in guest service, wine education, hospitality, and sales.
• Plans events and outreach to build solid client base of top-tier collectors, potentially traveling.
• Evaluates programs via periodic reviews and audits customer feedback.
• Executes hospitality events and visitor programs within budget and winery image.
• Collaborates with Brand Marketing and cross-functional teams on budget, targets, and promotions.
• Supports development of retail advertising and annual promotional plans.
