Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Estate Planning Paralegal to support attorneys in preparing and reviewing wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of estate planning experience, a bachelor’s degree in law or paralegal studies (paralegal certification is desirable), and proficiency with estate planning software and legal research tools. Strong drafting, organization, and client communication are essential.

• Proficiency in estate planning software and legal research tools.
• Extensive knowledge of estate planning, probate laws and trust administration.

Job Details

Responsibilities

1. Assisting in the preparation and review of estate planning documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives.
2. Providing comprehensive transactional legal support, including drafting, reviewing, and filing legal documents.
3. Managing and organizing client files and documents, ensuring all information is up-to-date and readily accessible.
4. Conducting legal research and preparing legal memorandums as required.
5. Coordinating and communicating effectively with clients, attorneys, and other professionals to gather necessary information and facilitate estate planning processes.
6. Assisting in the administration of trusts and estates, including probate proceedings.

Qualifications

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estate Planning Paralegal or a similar role in the legal industry.
2. A bachelor's degree in law, paralegal studies, or a related field. A paralegal certification is highly desirable.
3. Proficiency in estate planning software and various legal research tools.
4. Extensive knowledge and understanding of estate planning, probate laws, and trust administration.
5. Exceptional transactional legal support skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
