Job summary

A private family in Woodside, CA seeks a full-time Estate Houseman, Handyman & Groundskeeper to manage upkeep of a 10-acre property and a 6,000 sq. ft. residence.

The role blends outdoor maintenance with light interior support and hands-on mechanical work. You will coordinate vendors, source parts, perform minor repairs, handle irrigation, pool care, housekeeping, and occasional event support. A proactive self-starter with experience on large rural estates and a clean DMV record is preferred;

Qualifications

• Experience on large rural estates or private residences.
• Technical knowledge of home systems and groundskeeping machinery.
• Vendor management: research, vet, schedule and supervise contractors.
• Able to lift heavy items and operate outdoor equipment safely.
• Discretion and professionalism in a low-occupancy home; own truck preferred.

Responsibilities

• Minor household repairs, light carpentry, fixture adjustments, and routine maintenance.
• Source, vet, and manage service contractors for major needs; obtain quotes and oversee work.
• Coordinate furniture deliveries with interior designers; assist with unboxing and setup.
• Oversee landscaping, Debris removal, irrigation, and pool care; monitor drought-tolerant landscaping.
• Daily housekeeping, kitchen upkeep, laundry, and errands; event support as needed.
