Job summary

Cōpa Coffeebar is seeking a Barista to craft espresso-based drinks, teas, and specialty beverages to our recipes and quality standards. This role lives in a fast-paced cafe setting and emphasizes guest-focused service.

You will dial in espresso at the start of each shift, adjust drinks as service flows, and help prepare the bar menu including cocktails, wine, and beer while ensuring timely service and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Experience as a barista or bartender preferred; training provided.
• Must be 17+ for café shifts; 21+ for bar shifts in Mississippi.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately under rush.
• Reliable, punctual, weekend/evening availability.
• Team player with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare espresso, coffee, tea, and specialty drinks to recipe and quality standards.
• Dial in espresso at shift start and adjust through the day.
• Prepare and serve bar menu: cocktails, wine, and beer, to spec.
• Check ID on every alcohol sale and refuse service when required.
• Keep drink times on target for dine-in, takeout, and drive-through tickets at the same time.
• Greet and guide guests on the menu, including the Spanish-influenced items.
• Ring orders accurately, handle payments, and balance the drawer.
• Clean and maintain the espresso machine, grinders, and bar equipment daily.
• Stock, rotate, and prep syrups, garnishes, milks, and bar mise en place.
• Complete opening, mid-shift, and closing checklists, including the café-to-bar changeover.
• Cover the counter or drive-through window when volume calls for it.
