Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a friendly Barista to join the café team in a fast-paced environment. You will greet customers, prepare espresso drinks, and handle orders with accuracy while maintaining a clean workspace.

The ideal candidate has strong customer-service skills, is dependable, and can learn beverage recipes and operating procedures. Availability for early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous barista, café, restaurant, or customer-service experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to learn beverage recipes, menu items, and operating procedures.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine café duties, including bending, reaching, and lifting supplies.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, professional service.
• Prepare and serve espresso drinks, coffee, teas, specialty beverages, and other menu items according to company standards.
• Take customer orders accurately and operate the POS system.
• Handle cash, credit card, and other transactions accurately.
• Prepare and serve food items following proper food-handling procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, counters, dining areas, equipment, and workstations.
• Restock cups, ingredients, food, supplies, and merchandise as needed.
• Follow recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and health requirements.
• Complete opening, closing, and assigned side-work duties.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and management.
• Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining excellent customer service.
• Assist teammates as needed to keep café operations running smoothly.
• Follow company policies regarding attendance, punctuality, dress code, safety, and professional conduct.
