Job summary

Bedford Public Schools is hiring an Education Support Professional-3 (ESP) to support students in ASD-related programs. The role involves direct instructional support in sub-separate, classroom, and small group settings, using ABA-based methods and data collection to track progress.

BCBA- and special education supervision will guide training. The ESP-3 will reinforce routines, assist with crisis de-escalation, and collaborate with teachers to meet individualized goals.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Psychology, Education or related area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom routines and reinforce social interaction programs.
• Provide supervision and student support in all environments (recess, arrival, dismissal, field trips).
• Offer small group or individual instructional support aligned with goals and IEPs.
• Consult with teachers to become familiar with learning targets and expectations.
• Support academic and behavioral programs with data collection and documentation.
• Provide regular progress feedback to staff regarding student goals.
• Collaborate with teachers to support learning experiences for priority students.
• Assist with behavior intervention plans and social skill facilitation across settings.
• Assist with crisis intervention using de-escalation and safety protocols.
• Adapt to varying needs of students and maintain confidentiality.
