Job summary

Rycon Construction in Cleveland is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead on-site construction activities, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining schedules, and ensuring quality and safety on projects ranging up to $5 million.

This role requires at least five years of commercial construction supervisory experience, strong trade knowledge, ability to read drawings and contracts, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling software.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years construction supervisory experience in commercial construction.
• Project values up to $5 million+ are desirable.
• Advanced knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drywall, finish trades, layout.
• The ability to read and interpret drawings, contracts and specifications.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and enforcement of such.
• Experience scheduling work, materials, manpower, subcontractors and equipment.
• Computer skills – Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), prior scheduling software a plus.
• Ability to endure frequent activity such as standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching above the shoulder, pushing, and pulling.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and communicate project schedule to plan upcoming activities and stay on target.
• Coordinates daily activities for all subcontractors and ensures work aligns with design, budget and schedule.
• Manages project budgets and submits invoices to Accounting in a timely manner.
• Prepares daily site logs for conditions, manpower and activities in sufficient detail.
• Ensures safety procedures and practices per OSHA and company requirements.
• Conducts pre-installation safety evaluations with contractors for safe work.
• Ensures machinery and tools are available and properly maintained.
• Schedules inspections required by local and state regulations and organises final inspections.
• Monitors procedures to ensure quality.
• Maintains daily communication with project management on status and issues.
• Responds to onsite incidents per company procedures.
